As 2017 has come to an end, it has come time for me to reflect on my favorite images from the weddings I was incredibly blessed to be a part of. My favorite pictures are from all parts of the wedding day, and each of them I love for different reasons. Some are details – beautiful cakes, rings, or bouquets. Some are brides and grooms. Some are guests or family members. Some are of the ceremony. Others are of the first dance. Each of them have something in common though… they are my art. They are how I see details throughout life, or moments in time. I think it’s true what they say – creatives see the world differently. We see slices of life in things that other people might find otherwise ordinary.
Each of these weddings – whether it’s one that I second shot, or one that I was the lead photographer of – are unique and special in their own way, and I’m truly grateful to have been a part of every single one of these weddings in 2017. THANK YOU to all of my 2017 couples for allowing me the opportunity to document one of your most special days. I wish nothing but wonderful things for each of you and your marriage! You’re the real MVP!
As for 2018 – I’m ready for you! I’ve got 9 weddings on the books right now, but in the meantime, my current 2018 photography related goal is to get a picture of a snowflake with my macro. I tried, and tried.. and tried.. last year, and there just wasn’t enough good snowflake snow. So you better believe I’m (impatiently) waiting for the next snowfall and crossing my fingers it’s a good one!
